The Hampshire Chronicle Cup took place on Sunday 1st August at the Sparshatts Stadium at Eastleigh between local rivals Eastleigh and Winchester City.
The competition was set up by the Chronicle to support the club’s charity, and the Lisa Wilson Scholarship Fund will benefit directly from the gate receipts and a raffle carried out at half time (figures yet to be disclosed.)
In a highly competitive match Robbie Matthews scored from a first half penalty, but the second half saw a second spot kick saved. Eastleigh had the edge throughout the game which gave both sides a good pre-season run out.

The Lisa Wilson Golf Day took place at Wellow Golf Club on Saturday 31st July. The event took place at the club where Lisa worked for several years, and where she also played golf and won the Gilbert Trophy in 1997.
154 members played in the competition along with 26 sponsors, family and friends.  After the golf, ex-Saints bad boy Mark Dennis presented the prizes and Denis Bundy was master of ceremonies. During the evening there was a raffle and entertainment by tribute band Abba-Rival who had everybody dancing along. This second golf day was a great success and we would like to thank all at Wellow Golf Club and the members for their tremendous support. We would also like to say a big thank you to all our sponsors and friends for coming along to this special day.

A memorial paving stone has been laid at the home of Southampton Football Club in Lisa’s memory.  Lisa was a big Saints fan and season ticket holder, she regularly attended games with Mark Rigler, Steve Curtis and her Dad Clive.  Sadly, Steve died of a heart attack and a memorial paver has been laid next to Lisa’s in his memory as well.  This was felt to be a fitting memory that they would both have appreciated.  The pavers can be found near the entrance to the ground.

On Sunday 18th of April, Clive Wilson ran the London Marathon and raised over £6000 for the charity.

A message from Clive:
I would just like to thank everyone for their fantastic support for me running the London Marathon on behalf of Lisa’s Charity.
Your generosity will help five less fortunate students get their opportunity to follow their University ambitions and at the same time ensure Lisa’s name will live on. Without doubt this was the most difficult personal challenge I have ever set myself and probably the most rewarding moment of my life to complete it.

An exciting evening took place on the 15th April at the Solent Hotel when staff from Southampton Institute carried out a Charity Auction at a staff conference on  behalf of Lisa’s Charity.  Some 24 lots were auctioned off by a professional auctioneer, items included Matt Le Tissier memorabilia, an Indian head massage, an overnight stay at the Solent Hotel and even a ‘slave for the day’.  The evening was a resounding success and with gift aid should nett  approximately £1000.  Many thanks to all concerned, particularly Ben Craig  for coming up with the idea.
