Lisa’s boyfriend in the UK

Nathan Hodskiss, or Nook as he is known, came over for the gala dinner as part of his world tour. He is currently in Newcastle before travelling to Alaska and onto South America on his way home. As well as attending the De Vere fund raiser where he wore an outrageous orange suit, he has visited Lisa’s tree and bench at Bolderwood and her memorial paver at St.Mary’s stadium. He has also met a few celebrities along the way.

Watch out for Lisathedaddy on the track

Lisa’s mum Tricia was surprised to be given a two year old filly for her birthday by Clive. The horse, duly named ‘Lisathedaddy’ is currently in training for her first race in the new year.  Recently schooled by David, who has been very pleased with her will to stay ahead of the field, she will soon be moving to Twyford where trainer Brendan Powell is hopeful that she will be a winner. Clive hopes that Lisathedaddy will raise publicity for the charity and give the family some nice days out at the races.

Clive completes the London Marathon and raise over £6000 for Lisa’s charity

On Sunday 18th of April, Clive Wilson ran the London Marathon and raised over £6000 for the charity.

A message from Clive:

I would just like to thank everyone for their fantastic support for me running the London Marathon on behalf of Lisa’s Charity.

Your generosity will help five less fortunate students get their opportunity to follow their University ambitions and at the same time ensure Lisa’s name will live on. Without doubt this was the most difficult personal challenge I have ever set myself and probably the most rewarding moment of my life to complete it.

Memorial tree planted on 1st anniversary

The family planted a memorial tree in Bolderwood in the New Forest in Hampshire on the first anniversary of Lisa’s tragic accident. The tree, an English Oak, should live for 100-200 years. Next to the tree is a memorial bench overlooking the deer hide at Bolderwood. Another tree will be planted nearby shortly in memory of Lisa’s nan who passed away in February. Friends are invited to visit the tree at Bolderwood where the walks are open to the public at all times.

‘Lisa The Daddy’ rules the waves

At last year’s boat show we ordered a new boat that was launched on what would have been Lisa’s 24th birthday on 15th March 2003. The new boat, a 28foot long Cranchi, was named after Lisa. ‘Lisa The Daddy’ is berthed at Hythe and every minute spent on her helps keep us closer to Lisa.
