Who’sthedaddy Back on Track

whosthedaddy
Who’sthedaddy, bred by Tricia Wilson out of Lisathedaddy, will be back on track shortly. The three year old colt is looking great and was ridden out by Tom Queally today. Trish and Clive will be back in the UK shortly and hope to see his 2015 debut at Bath on May 4th over a mile.

Hopefully he will be able to bring some good results this year and some publicity for The Lisa Wilson Scholarship Fund.

Tricia’s racing colours – blue with yellow stars – represent the charity’s logo, a shooting star in memory of Lisa.

Lisathedaddy is a mummy.. again!

On Monday March 24th, Lisathedaddy gave birth at Woodhaven stud to a foal, a colt who has been given a stable name of Socrates. Both are doing well.

He was up and about in a few minutes. The sire of Socrates is Dick Turpin and he presently stands at the national stud at Newmarket. His first foals race in 2015 so we will be watching to see how they do.

This is Lisathedaddy’s third foal, and all have been colts so far. Her first foal, Lisa’s Legacy – now a four year old – was sold in October and has gone to Ireland to become a hurdler. He has now had three outings and on April 20th came an impressive second place at Cork over two miles. His new trainer is RP Burns and the owner is Philip McGee.

Lisa’s Legacy was sold as Lisathedaddys second foal, Whosthedaddy, went into training with Daniel and Claire Kubler, now based at Lambourn. He is getting ready to race over the next few months as a two year old. Trainer Dan Kubler and his wife Claire have been very impressed to date and feel he is bigger and stronger than his half brother, Lisa’s Legacy.

Another win for Lisa’s Legacy

lisaslegacy
Following a good run of form since winning at Salisbury Lisa’s Legacy followed up that trip with a third, second, and another win at Kempton Park on September 11th. Running over a mile and a half he stormed away to win by five lengths to recorded his second victory of the season. The man on board was Richard Kingcote who also rode Lisathedaddy to victory on three occasions and will be riding Brown Panther for Michael Owen in the Melbourne Cup in November.

In a very poignant moment, race horse Lisa’s Legacy recorded its first victory on August 14th at Salisbury. Ridden by James Doyle and trained by Daniel Kubler, the 3 year old gelding won over a distance of a mile and a quarter.

Lisa’s Legacy is the foal of Lisathedaddy and sired by Kyllachy.  Lisathedaddy — named for Lisa’s email address, because “she was the daddy” — was the first race horse owned by Tricia Wilson who is the breeder of Lisa’s Legacy.

Lisathedaddy now has another foal, named “Whosethedaddy”, who will go into training later this year. She has also been covered by Dick Turpin this year at the national stud.

The 11th Lisa Wilson Golf Day brings in over £7000 for the charity

GD13
Saturday July 27th saw the 11th charity Golf Day take place at Wellow Golf Club in Hampshire. Over 100 members took part in the members’ competition, and 50 participated in the friends and family competition.

The day’s activities were followed by a dinner and prize giving in the evening, and over 200 people attended. The prizes were presented by Mr Phil Green, Associate Professor and Director of Sport from Southampton Solent University. After dinner there was a raffle and silent auction, and the evening was rounded off with a cabaret performance by Miss Kylie, the UK’s no 1 Kylie tribute act. Lisa was a big Kylie fan. Members and guests danced the night away into the early hours in celebration of Lisa’s life.
